Summery of Benefits
HOW CAN I COMPARE MY OPTIONS?

You can compare our plans and the Original Medicare Plan using a Benefit Overview and a Summary of Benefits. The charts in this website list some important health benefits. For each benefit, you can see what our plan covers and what the Original Medicare Plan covers. Our members receive all of the benefits that the Original Medicare Plan offers. We also offer more benefits, which may change from year to year.

Not sure which plan best suits you? Since everyone’s health needs are different, we offer a variety of Medicare Advantage PFFS Plans Private Fee for Service Plans so you can choose the one that fits you and your health needs. There are a couple of ways you can compare our plans:

  • By choosing a county to compare plans available within your area
    Select County
  • By which Health Benefit is most important to you.
  • By Plan Name if you already know which plan you are interested in.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN?

You can join if you are entitled to Medicare Part A and enrolled in Medicare Part B and live in the service area. However, individuals with End Stage Renal Disease are generally not eligible to enroll in an America's 1st Choice plan unless they are members of our organization and have been since their dialysis began.

CAN I CHOOSE MY DOCTORS?

As a member of one of America's 1st Choice Medicare PFFS Plans, you can use any Medicare doctor, specialist, or hospital that accepts Medicare payment and accepts the terms, conditions and payment rate of the America's 1st Choice Plan. America's 1st Choice has the right to determine if the service or treatment ordered by your health care provider is covered under the America's 1st Choice Plan. A Medicare advantage Private Fee-for-Service Plan works differently than a Medicare supplement plan. Your doctor or hospital must agree to accept the plan's terms and conditions prior to providing healthcare services to you, with the exception of emergencies. If your doctor or hospital does not agree to accept our payment terms and conditions, they may choose not provide healthcare services to you, except in emergencies. Providers can find the plan's terms and conditions on our website at sc.americas1stchoice.com/pffs_terms_conditions.php

Does My Plan Have Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage?

America’s 1st Choice has plans with and without Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. As a member of Patriot, Presidential or Ambassador Plans you can receive prescription drug coverage by joining another Prescription Drug Plan. You can only join one Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. As a member of our Patriot Plus and Presidential Plus Plans, you will have Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.

Why Medicare Advantage?

Original Medicare pays for many health care services and supplies, but it often leaves over 20% for you to pay. In addition, there is limited drug coverage. That's why most people with Original Medicare carry additional Medicare coverage from a private insurance company - at an added premium cost (call Medicare Supplement Policies or Medigap Policies). Many people instead choose to receive covered under a Medicare Advantage Private Fee for Service Plan. With this plan type, you receive more coverage than Original Medicare and don't need a Medicare Supplement policy.
